The Role

The Returns Team Member 2IC is a newly created role within our Supply Chain who is responsible for the execution of the timely and efficient return of faulty, defective, and damaged bulky goods within the Home Delivery Centre (HDC) in support of minimising risk to customers and financial loss. This role plays a crucial role in providing leadership and to act as an escalation point for the Returns Team, as well as ensuring team member safety, capability and performance is supported through work instruction, coaching, training, and regular feedback.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage escalated customer returns, ensuring prompt and effective resolution and communication of any improvement opportunities 
• Work collaboratively with stores, other HDC teams and stakeholders to deliver a positive experience for the customer by facilitating escalated customer returns to HDC and effectively resolving customer return queries
• Resolve credit claims with suppliers, escalate issues in line with established processes, and provide information and input for business investigations
• Ensure transport carriers comply with service level targets and monitor key performance indicators to inform effectiveness and/or identify and remedy non-compliance
• Contribute to the management of effective processes and systems to ensure quality records management and returns inventory integrity
• Continuously improve skills and knowledge through participating in training and other development opportunities

Please note: This role operates Tuesday to Saturday. 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A minimum education level of Year 12 and/or relevant operational warehouse experience is required.
• Good proficiency in computer applications (such as Microsoft Office software) is required.
• MHE Licences - LF (High reach) and an LO (Stock picker) preferred.
